SARAH CORNELIA FISCHEL

Sarah "Sally" Fischel passed away on January 4, 2018 just a few weeks after turning 102 years old.

Sarah lived a beautiful life filled with so many friends that all adored her.

She was born in Long Pine, NE on December 15, 1915 and grew up on a farm while attending school taught by her mother. She moved to Kansas City and there she met the love of her life Dewey Fischel.

They were married 50 years. Mom loved her family and they always came first. She taught ceramics for over 40 years and retired at 90.

Music was a huge part of her life. She belonged to an organ club and loved to play at home for friends. She also once played the accordion on the radio and played in the bell choir at Faubion United Methodist Church.

An excellent cook always sharing with whoever stopped by. She also loved making special hand- made birthday and holiday cards which were a delight to all.

Sally had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Always up for a fun outing with friends or family. She played endless games of Skipbo with her best and dear friend Ann Daniels who we thank for all her kindnesses to our mother.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Louise and Arthur Frank McGuire; brother Frankie and spouse Dewey Fischel.

She is survived by her loving son, Ron Fischel; daughter, Jeannie Judson and husband Jack; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Cook, Wendy Cook and Dawn Goddard; 3 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. We will miss her beyond words but know she is at peace. We are so lucky to have had her for as long as we did.

Visitation is 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 9th, with services at 12:00 PM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to a charity of choice; condolences to www.mcgilleyantiochchapel.com
