Jean Marie Trapp, 79 of Gladstone, MO passed away at home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Trapp, parents, John and Nellie Buhman and sister, Sue Ann Reynolds.

Jean was born in Clarksdale, MO on July 27, 1937. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She was a passionate community servant as a member of St. Patrick's Church, St. Patrick's Altar Society, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Our Lady of Mercy Auxiliary and a proud...

Jean Marie Trapp, 79 of Gladstone, MO passed away at home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Trapp, parents, John and Nellie Buhman and sister, Sue Ann Reynolds.

Jean was born in Clarksdale, MO on July 27, 1937. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She was a passionate community servant as a member of St. Patrick's Church, St. Patrick's Altar Society, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Our Lady of Mercy Auxiliary and a proud recipient of the St. Pius Giuseppe Sarto Award. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling the world, watching the Royals, and visiting with her friends.

She is survived by her children Joanne Bussinger (David), John Trapp (Stacy), Julie Trapp and Jennifer Bugarin (Ron); grandchildren Michael, Eric and Bret Bussinger, Christopher, Katelyn and Melissa Trapp and April (Rich) Robles and great grandchildren Leland Bussinger and Eva and RJ Robles; brother John Buhman (Karen), sister Rosie Forsman; brother-in-law Steve Reynolds, sisters-in-law Florence Mann and Mary Iske (Allen), in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:30 AM Monday, September 19th with the Rosary at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terrace, Kansas City, MO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM; burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Crossroads Hospice and all of Jean's friends for their support and prayers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Pius X High School or the Vicki Welch Fund for Ovarian Cancer.
